About Katie Mortimer, LCSW
Katie Mortimer, LCSW received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Drake University in Des Moines, IA and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. Katie was in the Peace Corps, living in Nepal prior to going to graduate school, and that is where she found her passion for social work. Katie has worked in a variety of hospitals, most recently at the University of Colorado Hospital, serving the heart and lung transplant population. Katie joined the psychosocial team at CBCI in September 2015 and is honored to provide social work support to patients and families undergoing bone marrow transplant. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her 2 dogs, traveling, camping and spending time with her husband and friends.
