About Nikki Blanford

Nikki Blanford, LSW received her Bachelor and Master of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Nikki Spent much of her career working in the field of hospice and palliative care. She worked as a research assistant at Metropolitan State University of Denver and participated in research studies in palliative care, hospice and social work at the end of life. Nikki also worked in child welfare specializing in helping under served and under resourced families connect to needed resources and mental health services to preserve the family unit. Nikki’s particular focus was helping families break the intergenerational cycles of abuse, substance use, and poverty. Nikki had the privilege of completing her master’s level internship at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital and had the opportunity to spend time in CBCI with the amazing staff and patients. Nikki is honored to join the psychosocial team at CBCI and feels privileged to provide support to the patients and families whose lives have been touched by blood cancer. Outside of work, Nikki loves to spend time with her family, friends and pets hiking and enjoying the outdoors.
