CAR T-cell treatment options

CAR T-cell therapy is an immunotherapy that helps a person's immune system recognize and fight cancerous cells. We are proud to offer this as a treatment for blood cancer and other associated disorders.

What is CAR T-cell therapy?

The immune system is responsible for eliminating the body of foreign, abnormal cells, such as cancers. T-lymphocytes, also known as T-cells, are a type of cell responsible for killing these abnormal cells. During the CAR T-cell treatment process, T-cells are drawn from your blood and genetically modified to recognize and fight their own cancer cells once reinfused. This process has proven to be particularly effective for treating non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).

CAR T-cell therapy is introduced gradually, and is only available at centers that have met certain accreditation standards and are staffed with specially trained doctors and nurses.
